    Im learning that when you decide to eat right and exercise regularly, the person you become will have it pretty easy, and life will no longer seem quite as hard. Until I got really fit, I used to have so many problems. Everything seemed difficult and daunting. There was a lot of drama and conflict. I was lazy, tired, and overwhelmed. I didnt have the feel-good brain chemistry of a person who was firing on all cylinders from making better choices. Life was a struggle. But I had no clue that my poor diet and erratic physical activity were the reasons for my misery.

    In my late twenties and early thirties, I began to eat better and work out more regularly. Keep going!

  • Develop Power That Lasts

    Power is a fast but brief exertion of force. The more weight you can move the faster, the more powerful you are. But that doesn’t really count in sports – unless you’re an Olympic lifter or power. We need power that is there in the first round, quarter, period, or inning, but is also there in the last.

    There’s more than one way to skin a cat

    And there’s more than one way to build power that lasts. My preference is using each of them at different periods of training. The thing with being an athlete, weekend warrior, or just a normal guy who wants to be as awesome as possible, is that we want more. We want < Keep going!

    My previous post was about stating your resolutions as SMART goals. This next step is a simple mental exercise that will hopefully help you to place your goals higher on your priority list and keep you on the path to success.

    Everything we do or avoid doing has some significance and its level of significance determines how, when and why it’s done or not done. Take a look at the goals (resolutions) you created. Now starting with the most important goal ask yourself why that goal is important to you.

    For most goals and most people it might be a very personal reason.
